My Pally is no longer an evil hordie :)

Yes I switched her, I will likely move my warrior horde side and make her my first ever male character, although I am not entirely sure about that yet 🙂   I might finish my hunter that is sitting on a US time server though – not sure yet 😀

Anyway – here is the new girl, yes I went spacegoat again 🙂 I like the tails ok!!?!?!

She is fully Prot now, and I am working on her tier 9 gear so I can start pugging the ICC stuff, I have 2 more of the badge pieces to try and get and to be honest if we have an alt run through ICC any time soon for the first four bosses I may see if I can snaffle her a shot 😀

I was tanking some normal runs yesterday – non heroic – to try and get back into the swing of it, made a few mistakes etc, but no one was taking aggro off me and a few of them were trying their damn hardest.  I really feel sorry for actual tanks (which may be me at Cata).  People just don’t get it 😀

It was fun to be on her again, I really enjoy tanking I have to admit.  I like it on my warrior as well, I just think AOE tanking is such less a hassle on the pally 😀 But I am pretty good with my warrior as well I think.  A little more practice and I may be good at it !!  LOL

More firsts for my magey :D

Last night in ICC I got to see Dreamwalker, Professor and blood princes all killed for the first time.

Aside from a little issues on Professor as one of our tanks learnt how to drive the Abom (we normally have a dps do it), it was a good night, was a little messy in some spots, but to be honest we have only recently managed to start actually killing the bosses and So far – Professor sucks the life out of me…he is the most HORRIBLE fight I have ever seen!!

I cannot really express how much I hate it.

I love the blood prices fight – that is one of my favourites i think.  Sindragosa is also shaping up to be a fav, we tried that a couple of times last night as well, and I got made into a tomb at one point – I was excited by that. When I was in the tomb I couldn’t scroll my camera out to watch everything else going on , it was like I was actually in the tomb….WAS SUPER!!  LOL  Yes ok stupid I know but I get little joys like that almost every time I raid 🙂

It was a mail drop night last night with most pieces being sharded 😦 but that is a good sign I guess.

All in all was a good night I think, with some real evidence that our current raiding team is the fucking shit. We may not spend all that much time actually raiding, but OMG we do a good job with the small time we do have.

The history of guilds

I asked a friend of mine whose toon is the GM of the first guild we created to go and check out the date on it….turns out:

10th November 2007.

I was a little shocked as the people in that first guild are still with me even after 2 server moves and a crap load of drama over the years.

I am having a moment of nostalgia coming into another xpac with basically the same core group 😀

Went into ICC 10 for the first time in a very long time and it was caster drop night 🙂

I scored four pieces, three actual gear pieces – which are upgrades on my ilvl 232 gear and then 2 weapons…one was as word – can’t remember the name of and the other was the Staff that does the Cadavaer 🙂 I wanted it just for coolnees purposes – it is comparable to what I am currently using nut so much more awesome 😀  One piece was a frosty chest piece to replace my Merlin’s robes, so although they are nice robes – I want better 🙂  So all and all an awesome night for my gear score, but a terrible night for my coin purse!

We did first 4 then fester and Rot – did the raid weekly and then went and attempted Professor – spent the night wiping, our healing wasn’t up to it.  Sadly one healer can’t do that fight – although they gave it a fucking awesome attempt.  Yes we actually had two healers but the second healer is not really up to the challenge of hard fights…..but having said that neither of them had healed that figth before from what I am told 🙂  They generally DPSed it, so perhaps that was a factor.

I now have to gem and enchant – 3 pieces of gear – need to convert my badges to heroic and buy some today and figure out what gems I am going to use 😀

The guild drama seems to be forgotten about now, and I am trying to field questions about where I want the guild to go come Cataclysm, I was planning on going for 25mans’ but with the changes I don’t really see the point now, and we do have a very very good core of people to choose from now, barring 2 people, so currently I am in a state of confusion and need to sit down and read as much as I can about Cataclysm before I make a decision……

Another day another headache

So we have lost one guild member to the recent raid time issues, he has been with us since the days of Kara, and will be keeping a toon with us for chatting etc 🙂

He basically apologised for being selfish…and was very amicable about it, however I am unsure why it has even come to this as we are keepingthe raid times in a suitable window…

Anyway we may yet lose another person to the same thing, 2 DPS in one night – I feel like Matticus at the moment 🙂 heeheh

Onward and upward as I always say – let’s see how this pans out and what becomes of the broken hearted.

ok So I exaggerated a little bit in my previous post 🙂  I was annoyed, what can I say 🙂

Anyway it appears as though I am not entirely sure there is even an issue with the raid times…so much easier to get everyone talking on the forums 🙂

Just waiting for a few more people to weigh in and then we will be leaving the raiding times – exactly as they are!!!?!?!?!?!?!??!!?

I am going to have to lay down the law I think and make a solid move to get the guild into a good position. No more Mrs Nice girl…..(LOL)

Not even back a week :)

I don’t really know why I put a smiley face on the title, maybe I am trying to find the funny side of it….

Here’s the background, I was basically away from the game for about 2 months (slightly less) I have 3 GM’s who are actually the GM’s and can do whatever they feel is appropriate and talk amongst themselves and sort out problems.

I got back this week, to a GM asking immediately to be demoted from the ranks – I had not been in game for more than about 15 minutes I would say.  When asked why, we didn’t really give me an answer just re-requested it.  So I demoted him.

2 days later that same GM asks me what is going on and if I am back or am I doing anything about one of the other GM’s taking over. When probed about it there was an issue about raid start/finish times.

When we regrouped from the guild from hell, we never really organised the raid times, we kind of just wanted to get back into raiding as soon as possible, this has now caused an issue.  Once I had assumed my fucking guild leaders could organise and discuss whilst I was away for 2 months, why do they have to wait for me to get back to even discuss it???

There is now a huge drama thread on our guild forums about it and no one is happy about any options people are offering.

I am annoyed that I am not even back a week and I get dumped with issues….yes they were killing bosses and doing really well, but now I find out about all the crap that has happened to get them there and it falls to me to try and explain to everyone or fix the problems….I sometimes wonder why I bother…I really love being a GM, I love being part of the running of the guild I love having control, but when I essentially have no control because I come back to a missmosh of crap…..I just feel al little listless and wanting to do the lovely /gdisband thing and telling them all the fuck off and running away!!  I know I won’t though, I have put too much into this guild to not make it work…..

I am sure my last few posts have added fuel to an already massive =bonfire…will go and check it out…..and then I may decide to NOT read forums ever again 🙂 ehhehe

Gear upgrades and stuff :D

I went into an ICC 25 man raid and I won a ring and a glove upgrade, I then went into VOA25 and won a pair of tier pants.  So three upgrades in one night, got to love that if you ask me!

My Gearscore according to wow-heroes went from 2406 to 2967 or something, so I am pretty stoked about that 😀

It was a good pug for ICC, we one shot everything except Saurfang and even him we got to 15% or so on the first shot.  We didn’t wipe, we just kept moving through the trash and onto bosses, it was a very good run and very enjoyable, no one was being an arse. We were not even using vents, so was nice to just be chilling out and not thinking about anything other than killing.

I definately need to fix my quartz now though, being out here means my latency has doubled to approx 400 and I have been noticing the red bar is HUGE!!

First night back :D

I raided last night, nothing major mind you, just some instances to get me into them with the new pc 🙂

TOC, then Ony then TOGC (which we stopped after Jaraxxus)

We tried the Ony achievement with the whelps – ie having to get 50 to spawn, and everyone was Dcing left right and centre, however me and hubby had no issues, was like nothing all that intense was happening, we both joked and laughed about it – was super!!

We had a few wipes on Jar in heroic due to the portal spawns not going down fast enough, but we got through it in the end, and whilst some of us have a public holiday today, others didn’t so we called it after one attempt on the faction champs with which we had our arses handed to us 😀

Was so wonderful, I could actually watch the fights and see what was going on and it was sooo exciting!!

I have downloaded FRAPS as well to start videoing our boss kills, I will test that out over a few weeks to see what settings are the best 😀 I want to do the highest – but i don’t want to ruin my game play for it 😀 hehehe  I might try and find a better video option as I noticed that even on the highest settings last night the video was too fuzzy…I want crystal clear video…LOL may not be able to happen though 🙂 Well not without the files being 60Gb maybe! LOL

Am going to log on tonight and see if I am needed for the raid, they are heading to Singragosa I believe, so I will need to read up about her 😀

I was already in Northrend I went there when I was 68 and I have been having the worst time of it, partly because I really can’t describe how much I hate BOTH of the starting areas in Northrend….I really dislike both areas, so it has taken me a very very long time to keep doing anything whilst there.  I might just run some instances as much as possible so I can skip to 73 😀 eheheh
