Taurens are the shizz :D

I moved my warrior horde side 😀 Hubby has a horde fetish and wanted to run some heroics, so since I have offered my pally to the guild for xpac my warrior was doing nothing 😀

I have to get a decent picture, I didnt take any today when I did it 😀 but here is one of him getting his groove on 😀

Was very odd running around on him today, for a start – its a him!! LOL my first male toon ever I think!!

Ran a handful of heroics, wiped us twice, once due to poor management, I think my arse is now bigger than I realise and I backed into some mobs, the other time I can’t remember right now what happened, but all in all we coped and no one abused me, so that is good.

Almost got enough badges for a couple more tier 9 pieces which should boost me enough to perhaps start running UldTOC or something…..if I am lucky anyway 😀

First night back :D

I raided last night, nothing major mind you, just some instances to get me into them with the new pc 🙂

TOC, then Ony then TOGC (which we stopped after Jaraxxus)

We tried the Ony achievement with the whelps – ie having to get 50 to spawn, and everyone was Dcing left right and centre, however me and hubby had no issues, was like nothing all that intense was happening, we both joked and laughed about it – was super!!

We had a few wipes on Jar in heroic due to the portal spawns not going down fast enough, but we got through it in the end, and whilst some of us have a public holiday today, others didn’t so we called it after one attempt on the faction champs with which we had our arses handed to us 😀

Was so wonderful, I could actually watch the fights and see what was going on and it was sooo exciting!!

I have downloaded FRAPS as well to start videoing our boss kills, I will test that out over a few weeks to see what settings are the best 😀 I want to do the highest – but i don’t want to ruin my game play for it 😀 hehehe  I might try and find a better video option as I noticed that even on the highest settings last night the video was too fuzzy…I want crystal clear video…LOL may not be able to happen though 🙂 Well not without the files being 60Gb maybe! LOL

Am going to log on tonight and see if I am needed for the raid, they are heading to Singragosa I believe, so I will need to read up about her 😀

<3 Warriors :D

So I got my warrior to 535 defense and a few of the guilds tanks were helping me get gear etc, one pally in particular made me a fair few pieces of gear, which I cannot thank him enough for. That gear got me to 535, so I went and ran Halls of Lightening….no, not heroic!! LOL but for my first ever real tanking experience I would say it was pretty fucking awesome! I was loving it!

I let a couple of mobs loose accidentally, which I got back as quickly as I could, I only wiped us once as I pulled too many mobs and the whirlwind killed us 😀 The trinket I was after off Loken dropped, so my defence is no at 544, so I can start running heroics…probably not hard ones, but the easier ones I should be fine for..and if I stay within the guild a little I should be ok 😀

We also went to ToC – normal with me on my warrior to get some gear, and one ring dropped…everything else was not any good for me. It was a funny run, we wiped 4 times on NRB, just bad bad luck apparently and people thinking they were out of the fire when they weren’t etc…it was just funny, then on Lord Jaxx, OMG how much a tard am I….I thought I had time to run to the other side of the boss before it started, but no…he chased me, killed me in 3 shots…I am glad it wasn’t a one shot – I have some dignity…but the MT couldn’t stop laughing as he was wondering why the boss was running away and I was pissing myself at being such a retard…basically it was a bit of a laugh fest 🙂 I felt like such a retard!!! But I just couldn’t stop laughing.

We managed to finish it though 😀 I also did the weekly raid on my warrior today as well 😀 I didn’t tank just attempted to DPS. I finally have some money again so will be paying for a DPS spec on her some time this week so I can do a little of both. I basically just want to run heroics with her as much as possible to get some badges for my tier 9 gear 🙂

All in all a very very awesome day! Am very very proud of my tanking abilities 😀

TOC grand style

Last night was supposed to be an Uld 10 man run, sadly it didn’t happen, instead we went to TOC – but heroic 25 😀

We were in there the other night and we were not doing too badly, we were having the same problem last night, in that people were not killing the snobolds fast enough.

I was doing my best to constantly be tab targetting so that when they were out I was on them as quickly as possible, however on a couple of occassions I got a snobold myself, called out my name and ran forward, only to stand there for the entire time watching a hunter, oomkin and a few others continually firing at the boss…..so tell me how can you continously not do what your told and expect us to win?

All in all though it was fun doing something that is a challenge and not letting us beat it.  I think we had slightly less DPS last night as I was second on DPS and I was in the top  few for damage overall until I started dying too often….whereas the other night I was way down on the DPS, barely in the top 10….but we couldn’t do it then either…LOL

We are currenntly speculating that the new patch 3.3 is going to drop tonight, which will be Icecrown citadel 🙂  New content!!  Should be good, mages can go frost!!  OHHH YEAH!!!  and apparently be raid viable, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into a good ole frost spec 🙂

First night

So our first night with the new guild, was different and slightly disturbing :S

We almost had enough for 3 10 man teams….but alas we started with 2 and then ran later for a third.

So we started at about 7.45 got into TOC and my group wiped on the NRB to kickstart the night.  As we were killing the last of NRB the second group got up to the TWins and got an achievement. We thought they must have cheated….anyway, we got the beasts down, I cried as the other mage in my group was doing 5.5k DPS whilst leading a raid and i was struggling to get out 3k dps…while doing nothing.  I will say though I was having some lag issues last night…I blame the lag!!

We one shot everything else, got to the twins and killed them in under 3 minutes, that was kind of sexy 😀 Then we went off anf did Ony and got the achievement to kill her in 5 minutes as did the other group 30 minutes before us 😀

So we managed to get the same achievements with both groups which had people from all over the place.  Was pretty good way to prove we can handle the same things 😀

I was very impressed with my guys being all cool calm and collected about the issue.  I have run in the first raid with them now so I am more than happy to chill out and let others have my spots. I just wanted to ensure my guys weren;t treated badly in any way.

I also transferred some of our guild bank over, I sort of picked a collection of stuff out and dropped with them. I will slwoly do the rest over the next few weeks. Don’t want to just assume that everything will be fine, this is still new to people. 

So the raiding was finished at 9.30pm, they called it there and sent everyone on their way. they actually started another group afterwards with alts and people who didn’t get into the earlier raids…I was abit concerned we didn’t sdo anything else afterwards..jsut called it, we would have gone into some toher raid to strecth it out to the full night, we would have gone to Ulduar for  couple of bosses etc, but nope…I found that a little weird but overal pretty refreshing.

I have to admit the biggest thing was just waiting for a raid spot. I just got to sit there and wait and hope I got in…it was awesome 😀 I was under no pressure to gt people in, or make people happy or answer questions. I just sat there and waited :d  It was pretty awesome 😀  Although my DPS sucked, I was still having a blast in the raid not having to worry about people doing the right thing. I was able to actually watch the fight and see some of the stuff going on, it was such a cool experience.

I think this has been a good move, they are great people, funny, dirty and they seem fairly honest and not wanting to cause any ill will 😀  I am going to enjoy my time here and I may even learn how to play some of my toons while I am!

PVE is hard, sometimes you have to use your brain….

So last we went to TOC and let me vent my anger at the stupid shit that was being performed…..

I would say X and people would do the complete opposite….I would request A and people would do B….

I am getting to the point where I am seeing the end of the tether and I very close to telling them all to get fucked if they can’t pay attention to simple instructions or use their brains.

“All ranged on the adds”  – obviously means – only when you feel like it and stay on the boss the entire fight.

And why do we have to explain healing assignments on fights we have a million times? Surely people know what they do by now considering we generallly take the same healers into the fights every week.

Why do you recruit people and then not have them turn up? Whats the point of joining a raiding guild requesting that you be active and a raider only to not turn up? Why waste our time and yours?

I am angry and very frustrated right now….whats even more annoying is that we have bveen doing relatively well with the killing of bosses and I thought we were picking up the game, but last night made me worry that perhaps it was just a rare moment…

I am so fucking annoyed…I can’t really explain it to be honest.

Finally pulled their fingers out

So after treating them like a pack of 2 year olds and telling them exactly what they needed to do and when, we finally got Ony down!!

YAY for us!  Took 3 attempts I think..maybe 2 – can’t quite remember, either way we finally got her down, hopefully we can repeat ther performance again and get her every week now 😀

We also webnt into TOC and one shot NRB and would have one shot Jaxx had someone not pulled aggro too early.

Was a little annoyed that even as I was explainign things, people were not listening again or using their common sense…but I am thinking I am getting used to that.

Anway Grats to us, only taken us far too long to get it done.

Coz we can't get enough of those damn snakes

Back to ToC again tonight and we got up to the Twins again, we had the new people with us and our recently dinged healer, so I knew it woudl be tough – even if we could manage any of it, but I am surprised, yes we managed quite well.

The faction chmapions were our stumbling block as we got a DK/warrior, hunter/mage and shammy/pally combo…it was very hard.  the DK/Warrior were running aroudn 2 shotting everything in sight, the shammy kept chain chasting lesser healing wave and the pally was generally just a pain in the butt 😀  But after some readjustment and using every tool in our arsenal we got them down.

PVP encounters in PVE relaly make you realise how much we don’t use all our spells, for example by the end of the attempts we were having both our warriors use intimidating shouts, priest was fearing whenever possible, the warriors were using their throws as well as our pally healer throwing their stuns in and everyone else was ccing and trapping and novaing everything they could.

It’s very different to an encounter where you really just kind os use a rotation and hope lilke heck you can pull out the numbers to beat the enrage. I really enjoy the faction champions fight 😀

We only had a couple of shots on the Twins just to show everyone the fight so when they read the strat they have a bette runderstanding of what goes on etc.  But not sure we can handle the Twins without our best geared on due to the shield needing 15 seconds and 250k damage.

But we can go to Ulduar tonight and get some gear for the lesser geared players, which will help with that.

We like pain :D

So we went back into ToC tonight, because we are suckers for punishment, but well I think we were all surprised.  We spent a little time on the snakes again getting that right, but then we one shit Lord Jaxx and one shot the faction champions.

I know the FC were nerfed but we were surprised at how much. They were super easy. We spent about 10 minutes just talking through which to kill first and one of our PVP junkies was giving us hints and tips etc so I think that helped.

I did a very quick search for Twin information as I had not thought we would get to them from the reports I had heard about FC. So was shocked to the core and had no idea about the next one.   Did a quick explanation of the most confusing fight I have ever read in my life so no wonder really we didn’t get very far , but it was nice to be seeing them.

So 9 badges in one night everyone wants to go back in there on Wednesday because of the amount of badges we got.  We shall see who we have online.

ToC

Had a very interesting night tonight in ToC. We spent ages wiping on the Beasts, well in actual fact, all night wiping. We didn’t kill them.

We just kept stuffing up – one little thing ehre and there, people getting killed by bile, spray, mobs etc – it was just a screwfest…nothing in particualr stuck out just everything was wrong.

We also managed to bug the first boss a coupel of times, we had 5 snobolds come out instead of four, which isn’t a huge problem in itslef, but it is when you count to 4, then get an extra one on the healer and no one realises so death ensues.

Anyway, let’s just put that down to a bad night 😀
